Default Help! sanwa M8 "FATAL ERROR"

my radio isnt work properly. i got a message that says FATAL ERROR on the LCD and continuously beeps. was curious about the controls were you activate the ABS feature. i push the button on DATA INT and other menu as well. now my M8 doesnt work properly anymore. please help! or if you have instructions on how to fix this please email me at [email protected] or PM me thanks! i would really appreciate it.

There are ways to get into the backdoor of the computer on the M8....but it may be as simple as the battery needs replacing. The batt for the computer part of the radio.

and I think you have to send it to Airtronics to have them replaced.

thanks for the reply! is there a way to replace it myself? i know theres a battery inside that keeps the memory settings right? if i replaced that will it fix the problem?

Hi Neptunes,

I posted a request about a problem similar to yours earlier, and i found out both after dissasembling the transmitter and from the folks in the forum there is no battery inside the transmitter.

If you found out other information please let me know i am also interested to fix my error.

i just did. what a waste of time..theres no battery inside. i still have the same problem still "FATAL ERROR" i can move the throttle and steering though but u wont be able to access the menus on the LCD like the steering travel, exponential..all of it. i dunno what to do...i really need help. m going to a LHS that carries the product tomorrow to find out. if you find anything lemme know thanks!

Sorry about that.....It's been a long time since I read that info, somewhere, maybe it was the older versions of the M8...

Have you tried doing a ALL-CLR in the system menu?

you have to send the unit to airtronic or sanwa for the program reset.

i already tried the ALL-CLEAR and didnt work also. guess i have to bring this to my LHS and send it to airtronics but im afraid this is gonna cost me ugh! thanks for all your reply.
