tomkelly, I remember that stealth car. I made a version of that car using my old JRX2. And I think you're right about their involvement in the nitro arena, they would have an 8th scaler onroad and their 200mm car would now be a GT-444Evo Masami Special Edition III.

OR we could all be wrong and they'll come out with a killer car after they've tested out the competitions new crop dusters. And then we'll see some nitro drifters too.

I think they may be thinking the same way Losi thinks. Don't brag about it for a year or so, just to pump up the hype, just throw it to the lions when it's perfected. But then again, Losi's Todd Hodges e-mailed me and said their nitro car would be out in a year ... that was two years ago.

From the Yokomo YMP Japanese Forum:

Masami's father informed that Yokomo has stopped developing the nitro car and wont be attending the world race.

Mika, thanks for the info. That's unfortunate. I don't have any Yokes, but I'm always eager to see what they have lined up next.

I think that if yokomo is serious about their new nitro TC, there will be some news about it like CAD pictures or something like that, like the other manuf. do! I think the same maybe if the pictures are posted yokomo will talk about it and let their fans know whats going on! Anyway I hope Masami change his mind and go race that prototype, he did great in the pre worlds!
Don't know why he is putting soooo much effort on the electric TC is that thing is top of the line in its class!

Just my though! Anyway I will continue race my old gt-4 until then...

This is information I got from the Yokomo Forum, and regarding the prototype Masami raced at the pre-worlds, Tabushi, a forum member who posts here regularly has the pictures.

I don't know if this is what you want to hear but I was told the new gas car has been put on hold for now. I don't know if or when the project will be started back up. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I was looking forward to a new gas car as well.
