Any air that is allowed to stay under your body will cause lift (something you don't want.) So you always want to cut the back bumper high as possible(within roar limits) so the air under the body exhausts as quick as possible.

Pass you soon...

Just finished mine.
Really liked the inlets on the side windows.
I disliked the masking, I think it's too thick and it wrinkles after it has come into contact with paint.
The masking provided with the Xceed A5 I liked better, it's thinner, doesn't wrinkle and it is easier to cut out the window trim.

Another thing I would like to see, is the possibility to purchase a separate rear wing. I really like to test some different wing configurations when I get a new body type.

Its pretty good, but I don't think its any better than the Stratus body. The newer P56 is definitely better which is why Protoform released another body so quickly.

this body is push a lot more then Stratus and A5 especially in high speed but I like it in low speed and low grip track.

Default P51-N

Hi, just thought id share some pics of my R5-N.
I was looking for a new shell and wanted something different from all the stratus shells that are popular at my local track. I came across this one, and i really liked it's lines and being a plane fan i also liked it's aerodynamics. The name of the new shells like this one and the P56-N reminded me of the classic P51-D Mustang plane, and once i had the shell and looked at the nice straight lines i decided i would paint it like the iconic plane which was the fastest mass produced piston powered fighter of WW2.
I also had a sticker sheet from a Mustang rc plane kit that i intended to use on the plane.
The blue is similar to the blue that appeared on the nose of some of the mustangs, and i done it with flames ... because i like flames i guess.
The panel work was a PITA, and whilst it aint perfect im kinda happy with it all.
I still haven't put the plane stickers on... not sure if i will do that (might just add a few kill stickers, and some black and white stripes on the tail).
Also needs a final trim around the wheel wells before i give it a test run.

I painted the lights and grill because i reckon the kit ones sucked, it was my first attempt at doing both.
I haven't decided what to do with the tail lights, they are still covered by the liquid mask, and i might paint them in once i find some nice lil round sticker masks.... but the blacked out taillights kinda look ok for now.

It took far too much time, and i know that after the first 5 minute qualifier it will probably be all banged up... thats the joy of it all i guess.

Hi Romuald, hi from Australia!
Thank you for the comment, and I like yours too!
I also love this body.... i have the new P56-N body but i like this one better for some reason.

I see you also painted your lights and grill... the stickers don't look good on it.

AFM, i did the grill using a peice of grill from an old car speaker i had lying around... i painted the black through and it gave the black dots then some shading then backed it with silver.
I gave it too many coats with the black so its hard to see the silver in the grill ... but i think it turned out ok... especially compared to the sticker!
