Default Ever forget to turn off your Tx?

Ever forget to turn off your Tx? I did, a couple of times too. I run a JR XS3 and since it has no "on indicator light", I usually forget to turn off the radio. It may seem dumb, but some of my friends have actually done this.

if you do this without fully extend the antenna, you are killing your TX.

I used to and still tend to do that...

But a couple of months ago, I switched to using the new
KO PROPO EX-10 HELIOS Radio and one nice feature of it
is that it sounds off a Beeping Sound when the Transmitter
is left Stagnant for about 1-2 minutes.

It senses that its not in use yet the power is left on the ON
position. This then is what prompts it to BEEP in the hopes of
calling the owners attention about it.

Now a days, I still do forget to turn it Off, but the radio helps
me in having unnecessary battery drain. I dunno man, maybe
I am getting old...

sbmon,

I like the EX-10 Helios a lot!
Technically speaking, its got a faster CPU that makes the speed
of its frequency .010 sec faster than the previous model and
trust me, that is a big difference.

I have had someone run on the same frequency as I had at the
same time, and my car did not glitch a bit while his just went
crazy.

It will also come with KR-302F reciever which I believe to be the
smallest one out in the market today.

I know your M8 is a good radio too because that was what I was
using previously. But I am very glad I switched to the Helios. I am
pretty sure you will too.

thank you for the information
I have only heard good things about this radio from yourself and others so I plan on getting one as soon as I can
Still wondering about the copatibility with sanwa/airtronics 75mhz
rx, I asked this awhile ago on bb and was told that yes they are compatible, but then my lhs people said it was not
(hoping the info I gathered here is correct on copatibility)

what tx case are you using for your helios? Reason being is because I need a transmitter case for my helios.

sbmon
I dont know if this is going to help you but I used KO tx and JR r133 rx without any prob as long as Im using JR crystals on both tx and rx. When I used KO crystal on JR rx it didn't work.

Default I dont know if this is going to help you but I used KO tx and JR r133 rx without any

What radio do you have? I have the mars-r and the same set up with the jr r133 receiver and the jr crystals won't work in my transmitter. I can use ko crystals in tx and jr crystals in r133 on the same channel and it works fine.

My radio is KO helios. I havent tried the KO crystals on Helios tx and the JR crystals on r133 coz I dont have crystals from KO and JR that are in the same frequency channel. But I tried KO helios tx with JR crystal and r133 with JR crystal and it worked.

Penggoy,

You may try www.kopropo.com

Or email them at [email protected]

and ask ROBERT. I know they are starting to not stock these
because they can be pricey after going thru customs and
adding the duties.

But hopefully you can still get one of the last ones or they may get
one specifically for you. They are excellent in Customer Support,
so if they have it or may still get it, you should be set.

Better yet, call him at (310) 532-9355.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info....I got home and tried it and sure enough my JR tx crystals work in the Mars R and the JR RS300 Receiver. That gives me and extra 7 channels that I can use.
