Traxxas Nitro-4-Tec Help
Hi Guys,
Just purchased my first r/c car... a traxxas nitro-4-tec. Not sure if they are a good car, was an impulse buy but none the less it seems very quick and is lots of fun!!!
Now, i am having some issues with it. Basically, it is showing signs that it is running lean, but i richen it and it doesn't seem to help. I am running it between 3.5-5 turns richer than fully closed. I am thinking there is an air leak in the fuel line, as i cut the fuel line and put a little hand pump thing in it to help prime the fuel before start up. Now, if there is an air leak, could this be why it is cutting out during acceleration/high speed? I also noticed that when it dies, i have to pump it a bit otherwise it will not start. Note: that sometimes it works fine (generally when engine is cold, and only for a few minutes).
I have purchased a new fuel line off ebay so that i can piss the little pump off and test, but was wondering whether this could be the issue? Should i be seeing air bubbles in the fuel line? Is there anything else that could be causing it? How many turns out from fully close should the high speed needle be?
Thanks for the help,
Adam
