SO I started out 5 years ago with an Xmod from Radioshack. I haven't really been into r/c cars since. But I wanna get back into it, but this time bigger and badder. What is the BEST starter kit for drifting. What do you think. If possible can I get facts or specs to support your threories please.

You are pretty hell bent on drifting eh? To be honest nitro drifting sucks. Its hard, you risk blowing motors up if your not careful etc etc. If you wanna drift, get an electric car.

Other than that, possibly the HPI RTR3 Drift.

best for starter ( you exp on xmod ), go for electric. HPI RTR3 Drift is a good choice. just a simple shock setup to suit your style then you'r ready to go.
