Default How long can a 12V batt last?

Hi, how often do I need to charge my 12V for my starter box? I play like once or twice in a week, roughly 10 starts for each play... Do I need to charge it every month?

Good question
I usually charge mine once every 3 or 4 weeks and I use mine about once a week, I haven't had the battery go dead yet but interested to know how long they can go , probably depends alot upon usage though

blixelX;

12V batteries do NOT normally like to be deeply discharged.

The 12V Gel Cells used in Starter Boxes will last longer if they are charged regularly.
Make sure to use a charger that is designed to charge 12V lead acid batteries and follow the battery label for maximum charge rate.

Figure on 1-2 years of life in normal operation if properly taken care of.

I usually charge my 12V battery the night before the race or practice at my local bashing area. I charge it for about 4-6 hour per session and about 3-4 times a month. There was one time where I didn't charge it for a month and I used it more frequently. I was surprized how long it lasted.

Personally, I'd say more like 2-4 years of use, but I guess it depends on the amount of use, the amount of charge/discharge cycles, the load put on the battery and obviously the care of the battery.

Keeping track of how often you use it and when you charge it would be something good to do if you are anything like me and forget about charging your gel cell the day before you use it.

I write it down in my setup notebook.
