Default centax III on my serpent

I was breaking in my engine yesterday, and while I tryed to make the car mover forward, then engine reved up but the pinions never moved...

add some more shims...pinion prolly has too much play(loose)

Loosen the clutch nut so only about 1 thread is exposed.

For what it's worth, I tried with the stock Centax III spring (6586 which is the same spring used in the older Centax I), did the flyweight mod, turned about 1.2 mm of clutch adjusting nut to the end of the thread and a clutch shoe to clutch bell gap of about 0.4 mm. Plenty of power.

Tried the super hard Mugen silver Centax spring but I did not like it. I found it not to be consistent. One time it slipped, one time it engaged good. On my 705 with the Centax II, it worked out very good though...
