I am interested to know more about EXTREME MODIFICATION that you can do to your RC cars... or any RCs.
Here we can post all of the EXTREME MODIFICATION (or even CUSTOM BUILT) on the RCs... plus... we can discuss on HOW to build it WHAT is the result after the MOD WHY the mod has to be done So that we know our RCs can even do more than what we have right now.... i think this thread can be a quite exciting thread to read.... and to look!!!! yup... maybe if you do the MOD you will add more weight to your car.... but.... MAYbe... becoz of your MOD is sooooo EXTREME... the additional weight that being added will not affect your car performance... due to the OVERPOWERING powerplant... maybe also... the additional weight will make your car more stable (?) only my hypothesis. SO.... anybody has done any EXTREME MODIFICATION on their cars? anybody got any info about the CARS i have posted up there? anybody got input? dont just view this thread.... just write something dude.... we are learning from each other.... no worry if your opinion is wrong.... somebody might correct you... be happy... :tire: mop:tire: |

Pitty its not going to work on a 2-stroke engine, You would need a super backpressure pipe to give you a compression gain then it would work :)

How so? Exhaust and Intake ports are open at same time, forced induction like that will pressure crank more and just force the pressure out the exhaust.....? no?
Thats why exhaust has a pressure pulse, thats why length of exhaust (and hence timing of pressure pulse) effects where your power is in rpm range. I can see how it would help a little as engine is not sucking air in but it would be nothing like you could do with a 4 stroke. |

Force feeding a 2-stroke (and other types too) engine is commonly intended to let it breath easier so it could reach higher rpm than it should, in a much faster rate, not the compression increasing purpose,... as for 4 strokes, the elevated compression ratio is actually a condition "not desired" (that's why you should lower the comp. ratio by changing to low-comp. pistons, thicker gasket, etc,... in full scale, if the increase is desired, why should we spend so much to lower it?!?!), force induction was designed to let the engine to burn more fuel and O2 at the same combustion chamber size,... once again, the increase of compression is actually not desired (that's why we use intercoolers to keep the incoming air slightly, well,... cooler.... because cooler air has lower pressure but more O2 molecules,.. hot air,... vice versa....) so, force feeding a 2-stroke maybe not that efficient (some will flew directly out of the ex. port, but it's do-able, as well as FI-ing a Wankel rotary,... please keep in mind, that it's not the comp. ratio increase that counts, but the extra air-fuel mixture about ex. pressure pulse,... yes, it is highly affecting the powerband,.... IF naturally aspirated,... when we (me and my full scale mechanics) deal with FI,.. we throw away all things about backpressure, exhaust length, etc. the only thing we focus is, how to let the ex. gas go away quickly so the combustion chamber can be used ASAP for combustion cycle again,... without being too loud and illegal at the same time... (tell me why drag cars have oh-so-short ex. pipes?! like the 1090 HP Nissan Skyline w/ no boost limiting device... ) IMHO, when dealing w/ engines, try to look at it as a (super) glorified air pump,... that helps sometimes... I agree with FI mod to glow 2-stroke engines,... but not the NO2 (nitrous oxide) idea,... simply too much heat,... I dunno,.. it might work,.. but if I have to choose,... I'll choose either Super or T-charge it..
