What kind of Engine upgrades can u use for a Rs4 EVO??

I was looking at an RC store online and they had differnt sizes. I have heard people allways talking about a pico.

I saw a Ofna Picco Jlr .12 Red-Dot Engine.

It says its .12 size. Is .12 faster than a .15?

and will a .12 fit in a .15 system?

I would use a stock motor until you get used to the car. Putting in a better engine wont help you out any if you dont know how to drive and handle the car. You might also want to get better with tuning before buying a high performance motor. A bad tune on a great motor can ruin it very fast.

Serpent is right about that, but just to answer what he didn't:

Is .12 faster than a .15?...in most cases yes

and will a .12 fit in a .15 system?......yes

Any word on that Pipe, Serpent?

I'm sure you guys are getting tired of the body shots, so this will be the last one for a while:

I never get tired of body shots.

Like I said earlier, my next Porsche body will be orange, like a real one I saw recently.

Default Question regarding upgrades

Serpent,

May I ask you a question. My graphite deck is on the way right now, but I been looking at the picture you provide but cannot figure out how to install regular AA batt casing (stock ones). Is there any tip of it? I heard to zip tie it to chassis but how? Also if possible, can you reply Me by personal message? That way I dont have a hard time finding this thread again. Thankz I'd appreciate it. I'm new by the way...I found this thread via web search.

MF.

To improve handling, get sway bars and a set of foam tires. Also, a nice set of threaded shocks would be nice. Take a look at the option parts for the car on HPI's website.

Here is a list of my upgrades:
-Vantage pipe
-Jaco foam tires
-Threaded aluminum shocks
-Pull start
-Racing fuel tank
-Battery pack
-Carbon fiber front tower
-Carbon fiber rear tower
-Carbon fiber upper deck
-Carbon fiber bumper plate

heres my RS4 EVO+.. not much done currently other then adjustable tie-rods on the front end, and graphite upper deck & front/rear shock towers, ported T3.0, 19/23 pinions.

Mods waiting to go on... 41/37 spurs, custom 70mm foams, MIP CVD's.. then testing 3 different engines & pipes.. OS .18 CVR w/ THS pipe, Picco .12 7port w/ Vantage pipe, Hyper .21 8port w/ 086 pipe.

Car is strictly for straight line runs.. hopin to get 70+mph out of it.

Default Upgrades

Ok, Ive read thru the threads and my question has not been asked on this thread so ive got a O.S. Tz .18 on the way and i would like to get a lighter flywheel and racing clutch and would like to change the gearing up to take off faster but not loose much on top end, my LHS always wants me to look up part numbers before they check to see if they can order the parts doesnt make much sense to me but i can travel 25 miles out to a hobby place that has a track and they will look for part nums or let me do it, i have checked a number of places and cant find anything for the os.18 also does the HPI RS4 Evo3+ need sway bars?? thanks in advance. can anybody supply me with part number for any of these.

yeah there are fiber discs on hpi's option section of their website. I have one and it works well, it doesnt wear away or seize up like the stock plastic disc.
