Default I knew it!

How to choose the best car? Some says it is almost all the same it depends on your driving skill.

That could be true, but when I looked into the 2008 IFMAR world championship, I saw the Top 10 list, and almost all of the cars was Kyosho?

I only see 1 or 2 NT1, 1 TM G4 that is in the top 10. Correct me if Im wrong, I dont really remember.

And when Im looking at the laptimes I realized that, isnt it just seconds are the differences from ranked 1, 2, 3 .....
So I am wondering that, is it just because Kyosho drivers are more skilled? or Kyosho cars got an edge vs other cars like NT1, Mugen etc?

I dont know if this make sense to you guys but to me it does.

Yes! That is exactly my point! We can see which car was really upgraded..
For me thats the way to see, because even if let say, in top 10 there are 6 nt1's like you said, but the 1st was let say Mugen, then even if mugen wins the title for first place, I dont think that the car was better than the Nt1's, right? are you getting my point here?

Mugen wins maybe because of the driver or because of some circumstance I dont know. But to see that there are 6 NT1 out of 10 I believe that it has an edge to the other cars. Because thinking there is kyosho, mugen, TM, name it all. How come in top 10 its 60% NT1?

Thats why I believe Xray really do their job. Got my point of view?

Because 50% of the competitors ran NT1, and most of them sponsored.....
Quantity comes into play here also...

You are a little in bit off in your numbers there were 5 Kyo, 4 NT1 and 1 TM

Now I am confused if this is the case then in 2006 with Most cars Serpent and TM got 1 and 3rd with only 2 cars entered.

Or Worlds 2008 with most with NT1 and near 50% in the A main yet only a 3rd place.

how about another point of view: if there're 60% nt1 and the only 1 mugen got the champion, doesn't speak too well for nt1 isn't it?

quality counts; not quantity?

What i want to say is that people should not look to much at those figures, I only want to point out that the more cars you bring, the bigger change you have on winning the title, because of the team effort. Everybody can test different things in order to get the best possible set-up which everybody can run then (changed to personal flavour)

it is said before, any car is capable of winning big races, but they do have there own feel in driving, so you just have to pick the one which suits you most.
Or just pick one you like and can get spares for (as the TS already has done, so what are we even still talking about) and adjust your driving style to the car....

+2....

any car can win.... its really almost the same for all cars... get the one you can afford or can easily get spares for or has driver support at your local track....

if you can afford to, try all the cars and decide for yourself which is best...
