Default GS Vision Transmission

I was given a GS Vision from a friend but when I ran it today, it wasn't going into 2nd gear.

Does anybody know what I need to do or a setting to change so that it changes to second gear.

This is just a starter car as I'm in the process of building a Team Magic G4 RS.

thanks

There is a set screw in the two-speed transmission that will adjust the shifting point. You need to losen the screw to make it shift earlier and tighten it to make it shift later.

If it is not shifting at all, you may needt to disassemble the transmission and check to see that the enganment finger or pin is not broken.

You will need a set of snap-ring pliers to get the c-clips off. This will be a good learning experience for you in dealing with transmissions maintenance. Althought the Team magic's car transmission mechanics are different, the principle is the same.

You can get manuals here.

Glad I could help...btw you didn't say which version of the Vision you have. I have the Vision Pro. After looking at the differnt cars though, the transmissions seems to be the same on all versions.

I have the standard version not the Pro version.

My mate purchased the car about 2 years ago and only had it on the road 4 times.

when he hgave me the car and fuel, I told him that the engine needs at least 15% nitro and not the 5% which he bought and was using + the fact that he drove the car near a beach and the car was covered with sand didn't help.

The car runs well other then the 2nd dear not engaging.

Thanks again.

Good deal

Should you need parts..these guys still stock parts for the vision cars. The American vendors have pretty much abandon the car.
