Default So Cal Racing (or lack of)

This question is semi-rhetorical but, with some major manufacturers like Ofna, HPI, and Mugen based in OC, why isn't there much racing in OC and like, none in San Diego county. I'm posting here because there is nobody on the tracks forum and I run nitro.

Wow, buddy, you live close to the epicenter of R/C racing and can't find a track?

How about Crystal Park, KZ Speedway, Revelation.....

Its just a fact of Rc life , I live close to all these tracks, and have a small track 5 minutes away. Nitro is dead in the small track, so I run at Revelation, which is 2 hours away form me (90 minutes if I speed, you wont tell the cops will you?), KZ is actually closer but I dont like the tire wear, and I havent tried CP yet. For what its worth, Revelation is a superb track, you even get plaques if you get in the podium, and they have free hot dogs with your entance fee.

You might want to check in the "racing forum". In addition to the permanent tracks mentioned above, there is parking lot racing EVERY weekend. OC circut, Inland Empire, Pegasus. Racing all the time. These are all in the general LA, OC and riverside county areas. There is a fairly large group of racers the regularly come from San Diego to race.
