This body is very good. I ran one last weekend at Crystal Park. Very stable, lots of steering.

Is that a cockpit, or a very big helmet?.....

I got the body direct from Ilia at Artec. I think they (Artec) are going to pick a US importer very soon. I guess for now you can buy them from Europe.

This may seem like a bit of a silly question...however I am unfamiliar with the qualy format.

Appears that only 4 positions are secure in the final and a and b groups for all lower mains.

Could someone just give me a quick summary of how qualy works at the worlds.

Thanks
Jamie

Only the 4 fastest drivers direct qualify to the A main, the rest need to bump up. The 1st and 2nd place(might be 3rd too im not sure) move to the next final. So if you start on the 1/32nd B final and you finish 1st or 2nd you move up to the 1/16th B final, and if you keep finishing in the top 2 spots you bump to the 1/8th B final and then the 1/4 B, and then to the 1/2 B. Make sence?

The nationals are the same.

I believe it's three bump ups until you get to the 1/2 finals. There the top 2 bump to the main plus the two fastest losers. So you could finish 4th in the 1/2B and bump to the main if you were quicker than the 3rd guy in the 1/2A. If rain interferes with either 1/2 main then it's just top three from each.

Yes...
- 4 directly in the final.
- the odd and even placed qualifiers per 7 in the lower A/B finals
- (with 150 drivers) 10 in both) 1/1024 finals
- from each final the 3 fastest bump up to a higher final
- at the end from the A string and fronm the B string 6 will reach the main final, making it in toal 10 drivers.

It is fair enough, even with 6 bad qualifiers it is possible to reach the main final.

The system is fair, but reaching the final if you have to bump up a few times from the lower finals is technically seen very difficult.
This track (with the current temperatures) is an engine killer.
If you bump up, you have 30 minutes to get prepared for the next semi final, so just hope your belts and pulleys don't let go....

Yes but in the old system, you would have to run twice as many mains to bump all the way to the final.

I think, it will be Robert Pietsch. but, his pitman will have a lot of Work and every stop will be a risk. But, after Qualification it seems, that he is the totally fastest.
Collari has to stop not so often in final, it will be his Ace.
my own hope is, that Michael Salven will win the 1/2 Final and can take the title. He is a happy boy/men, has allways a friendly smile and a fantastic car-control. He is on international top since more than 20 years, and i think, he should crown his career with a world champion title. I hope, he has not problems again with his engine, so as at the german championchip this year in hildesheim. he was very very fast, but his engine blocked his way to final...
greetings from Bavaria

Im hoping its a Serpent that wins and if its Paolo even better, but I've met Salven and he's a really cool guy so if he won it would be cool too.

Heres my prediction though:

Collari
Green
Salven
Pietch
Morganti

A 1 hour main is a whole different race, throw away the fastest 5 minutes, you have to be consistently fast for a whole hour.

DAMN!!!! I would kill to be there.
