Default GQ tires

They work great. The sedan tires are awesome! I dig the orange wheels.

CRC is cutting, mounting and truing exotic Japanese rubber on their own rims. 1/8th, 1/10th and 1/12th.

One of our guys also just set up a deal to distribute GQ products in the USA. Palmaris are also the UK and Ireland Distributors too. Maybe you and our guy could talk and discuss pricing or something so it doesnt end up in a tire war cause one is way undercutting the other.

Default Tires vs Tires

Greetings,

I have had great success with Ellegi tires. I race in SW florida and we use Ellegi exclusivley. Our experience has been that other tires chunck easier.

Question :
Has enyone had any experience with Powers tires? My retailer is switching to Powers not sure if they are the same as Ellegi even though they are both made by GMP

Regards Marty

Thumbs up

Ellegis do wear out a bit faster and have better stiction than the Ufras. I'd rather wear a set out and keep the tires on the track versus chunking Ufras every time.

We are lucky to have a local racer that can furnish Ellegis for $24/complete set of four [26 fronts and 30 rears in every shore available].

Nitro Shoes have the best traction I've witnessed, but they wear really fast. They are pricey. Or, that's what the guys say, especially when they don't work at the LHS.

Just my $0.02 worth.

Default GQTires

For those who drove 710 (especially) the GQ tires is worth to try.
The front offset is perfect for 710, it does not rub your ball end/knuckle anymore and they come in (true) 26mm.

In rear, the 0 offset is bit different with Ellegy. If I took Ellegy as a standard, then the GQ is having at least +1 offset. Which is I found very beneficial, coz I can thread in(more) deeper to achieve the same trackwidth.

Dont buy.. borrow first!

Default Ellegi vs Powers

Greetings,

I have been running Ellegi tires and have had great luck, 1/10 touring car.

My supplier is switching to Powers tires does anyone know if they are the same as Ellegi given that they are both made by GRP.

I e mailed GRP and ask this same question and recived no responce.

Regards, Marty

I've used CRC Track Magnets for the past 3 years with very good success, very good tire wear and minimal chunking.
Any foam will chunk for sure, I'm sure some foams are worse than others.
I also got a deal on GQ foams and will be running them this season, they seem to be very good .
I have bought a few sets of Power Tyres and the rims really suck, Can you say wobble? It took 4 sets to get one complete set that were true.

It seems like GQ is appointing a lot of sole importers in each country lately

Seems like this kind of business practice will keep them where they are
