Default Which 1/10th On Road Kit

Hey guys

Well I am looking into buying a 1/10th on road electric or nitro...

I still haven't decided whether to go with nitro or electric as I would rather something cheaper to run... In this sense I am thinking of nitro...

With the nitro kits what seems to be the car to have at the moment?

I run Mugen MBX6 buggies so would rather stick with Mugen but from what I can see the Mugen MTX4 seems a little out dated in comparison to the NT1 and wouldn't want to buy something I need to upgrade within the next year...

If any of you guys could give me advice on which is cheaper in the long run (nitro or electric) and put me onto any good updated chassis and motor combos I would really appreciate it...

Thankyou

Permanent track or parking lot? See what the other people race with.

Permanent track usually its Serpent, NT1, V1RRR, TM, Mugen......soon V10
Parking Lot they are HPI, Traxxas, Kyosho FW06

Also do you have a LHS around? what do they carry usually?

i have drove many of the top brand cars. i prefer the kyosho rrr its durable to a certain extant and with the right setup its a winner. also go for what you can get parts for.

as for motors i would recomend a murnan modified rb m3. they can be purchased here along with all other murnan modified motors.

www.murnanmodified.com

hope this helps

Well you are going to get a mix of opinions here. As you can see,

Look at what the top drivers at you track use and go from there. Also you mentioned electric, but you won't get many answers on that here.

In terms of $$$$ they are all around the same amount, and honestly they are all good cars. It comes down to the one behind the wheel.

Who says that MTX4R is outdated? Any examples of that? I think it's still just as competitive as any other top kit in the market today.

lol half the responses on this thread are so bias, if I person says nt1 you look at their signature and you see they drive a nt1...

i say go with w/e you can get parts for easily, and which ever you can afford.

all kits on the market handle within comparison to one another...

Get what you can get parts and support for in your area, point blank. The Mugen, Kyosho, Serpent, Xray, and TM can all win in the right hands. All have their good points and bad, ALL strip gears (don't even believe otherwise) and all can be set up to run on rails at whatever track you go to without a bunch of hop up parts. Whether the car is a few years old (MTX4R) or hasn't hit the streets just yet (733) it's hard to go wrong. But it's no fun waiting for the man in the brown truck to bring your parts while your mates hop off to the LHS and keep on running.

Just my .02 cents.
