Depends completely on the track.

For me, low bite means less caster, spacers behind the arm. As grip comes up, I need more caster, move spacers in front of the arm.

Just use smaller clips and find the right caster clips to get rid of any slop, you should still be able to achieve the same caster angle. There will always be situations where there could be a bit of slop in some places due to wear or small inaccuracies in manufacturing.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

@ Mark:

If no problems come up, everything should be ready before the worlds.

@Wanaberc:

I don't know the CEFX upgrade, but I think it's different as we need a new radioplate bracket for the new flex system.

Last weekend Daniele Ielasi was testing at the Worlds track in Homestead and he was very satisfied. His best lap was 15,8 sec and in a simulated 10min qualifier he could do 37 laps. So we are really looking forward to the Worlds in April.

Best regards
Patrick

No posts in 10 days; this forum needs livening up! Bring us some news guys!
To put what I preach into practice here are some: Congratulations to Shepherd drivers Stephen and Peter Jovanovic's 1st and 2nd in the Victorian IC State Tiltles.

Stephen and Peter were previously with Motonica: but my understanding is that both of the brothers are (unfortunately for Shepherd fans, but lucky for Capricorn fans) planning to move to Capricorn in the nearest future.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

Yes you can but you will need to purchase the thin strip of carbon plate that is used as a filler/adapter to make it fit on the 1/8 car properly. Its a genuine Shepherd part but dont have the part number to hand.
An alternative is to purchase an Xray NT1 /RX8 Reciever box which can be modified to fit thats what I did on mine.

The item code is #508401

It comes with two alu collars so the box also fits the Velox V8 2010. Please note that it can't be used at the Velox V8 2011.

Best regards
Patrick

Run them as loose as you can and they will last a long time.

i was taught to back the scriews by 1/4 or 1/2 turn from locking the shoe. you don't want it to drag, but minimize the slop.

this won't change the shift point but it can make it smoother.

if you set the (spring preload) screws just at the edge of the shoe, this should be a low shift point, then adjust to suit your track conditions.

Default Velox V8 09 Chassis

Hello,

Could you tell me what is the difference between the original Velox 09 chassis (ref: 903101) and the Hard version (ref: 903111)?

Is the hard chassis for high grip track only?

Does anyone run LiFe RX battery in the car? Does it fit?

Thanks,

To all Shepherd drivers!!!

Shepherd Micro Racing is working on some changes for U.S. distribution.

Please give us a week more to announce the final facts.

You can be sure that all Shepherd Products will be available in the next two weeks.

We are sorry for this situation.....
