Orion Wasp .12 Engine tuning

Hi, I own a Team orion Wasp .12 engine and I would really like to know if anyone had ever tryed to modify the engine. If yes please can you give hints what can be done? Thanks

i think this engine is already powerful enough. its a weird engine internally, and its a bit hard to tune even for pro racers.at least that's what i see. so better dont mess with any of those parts. just tune the clutch and get try more pipes to suit ur need.

Which Wasp series are you talking about, the Old Picco base Wasp, the weird CRF, or the latest Picco (again) based engine??

I just got one of these myself.... has pleanty of power for the tracks i am using it on. (Timezone Raceway,WA & Rose City, OR)
I did have to move the Nozzel IN (about 1 hour) to get it to run a little leaner. It was supper fat on the bottom, but ran hot on top.. moving the nozzel helped alot.
Mike Ellis has been a great help with tunning motors, so credit goes to him.
I would not mess with the port timing on it.. we looked at it an it looked really well machined and had nice craftmanship. I have the CRF version.. so far so good. :tire:

I have a question; my cousin has been running this engine, and for some reason it always 'bogs' at mid-low throttle. We thought it was the clutch... low end needle... but no.

Aside from the audible 'bogging' sound, the engine runs fine at healthy temp range. What can we try?

for a quick answer,
this engine is take a bit more to warm up.
just tune after one tank.this may sound crazy but this is my opinion.
