Arrow TRACK IDEAS.......

Goes anybody have any drawins or pics of track configuration for parking lot racing. Has anybody ever set up a track in a parking lot, if you have any pointers or tips please pass on.

Where I use to race we had this setup using large PVC pipes

What did you want to know exactly? At my clubs parking lot track they use 4x2 pieces of timber to lay out the track. Then with steel pegs are all secured to each other. For curves we used a thin'ish piece of wood and made ripple strips out of them. Then they put sand ropes around critical areas hard up against the timber to soften the impact a bit. For the timming loop it is built into a little "bridge" and it picks up the cars as they drive under it. It really is a good set up. I think he was looking for layout and designing tips. I think the materials you use is a good idea though. It would seem to be more flexible for track design and probably less costly.
