gtrmx,

I´ve noticed that you´re using "blue shocks".... Are they from your RRR?

Yeah, those are Kyosho shocks from my RRR.

I noticed that in the effort of making the shock shafts travel as free as possible, TM machined the G4RS 09 body shocks in a way that they apply as little pressure as possible on the O-rings. That in turn allows some air into the shocks, specially when using lighter oils.

However, I have found some o-rings that are just a little thicker than the stock units and they may cure my problem.

I like the TM shocks, but I am not using them for the moment for that particular reason. If I find out that the new o-rings fix my problem then I will let you know.

Notice the internal diameter and outside diameter measurements...

I had been using those blue collar shocks you see in the pictures, but I drilled the bleeding hole to allow extra oil to escape and prevent over-packing...

That should do it, too, but I thought it would take some time to flatten the ends of the springs to keep the calipers spaced out evenly. Besides, I already had those in my pit box...

From the many different types available, you must use those with fewer coils, so they can compress enough to allow good disc grip.

Let me see if I can find you a part number...
yo gtrmx, in your pic it looks like the 2 speed houseing was rubbing the clutch bell how did you stop it. my clutch bell is still rubbing the 2 speed houseing i need a fix

I am using whatever spacer I had in hand, but I intend to use these spacers between 2nd speed and the main shaft bearing...

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGPC9&P=7

I think 2 or three of these should get the job done...

Are you using any shims between the outside engine bearing and the flywheel? If you are, remove them and put a bunch of shims on the outside of the thrust bearing collet. Or use a shorter collet that does not need so many shims.

Any of the above work for you?

GTRMX, that looks pretty nice. The track layout is good too, and the fact that you can do many different layouts is even better.

Thanks for the pics, at least it gives us a sense of your track and your setup used.

That orange "bocho" in the back looks in good shape...
