Hi Bobby,

Did you happen to throw the pulleys on a scale? Wondering if they are heavier than the kit ones. looking at images of them they do look pretty heavy unless some whittling has been done to the back sides of them.

On a different topic, I see K Factory have 2 different front lower hinge pin mounts, one I recall is K14202 and the other is K14212. What exactly is the difference between these two mounts, looks to be the rear alloy mount?

Do you know anything about the TM lower front wishbone revision, P/N504134?

I got so many Q's re these cars and the recent option releases, will keep em comming if thats OK with you?

Ok on p/n 14202-you can adjust your roll center by raising the bulkhead an adding shims, also the rear can be done the same way.I havent tested the rollcenter changes yet but, with all the new tracks popping up here in Florida i need to, tracks are getting super smooth, an crazy traction our last state race, i was running 55mm front 57mm rears really low tire wear.

For p/n k14212 this is an upgrade i recommend alot stronger than stock .

For the p/n 504134 i will have to get back with you on that.

Back on topic!

So far I have:

K5702H - K Factory G4RS 09 Alum. Heavy Duty Servo Arm (Hitech)

These had to be ordered due to me having purchased the Hitech 7965 Servos before the Kit arrived (yes I know... silly me... last time I do that). These are VERY NICE Servo Horns and if you dont have a pair to match your Servos i highly recommended them... K Factory do make ones for Futaba and KO as well.

As for upgrades for next fortnight I have decided to go with the following for starters at this point:

K14219 - K Factory G4RS 09 ST Steel Rear Universal Joint Set
K14220 - K Factory G4RS 09 ST Steel Front Universal Joint Set
K14201 - K Factory G4RS 09 Alum. 7075 Front Upper Hinge Pin Mount
K14241 - K Factory G4RS 09 Carbon Transponder Holder (L-Shape)
K14228 - K Factory G4RS 09 Lightweight Alum. Middle Belt Mount
K14210 - K Factory G4RS 09 Light Weight Alum Front Solid Axle Set
K14200 - K Factory G4RS 09 Alum. 7075 Rear Lower Hinge Pin Mount

Thats just for starters and will be ordered next week from rc-mushroom.com as they are fairly well priced and I have had lots of orders from them before without issue

Thanks for the suggestions all and appreciate the tips!

Nice options flynia, did you happen to weigh the K14228?

What advantages are you seeing with K14219 and K14220?

I have most of the other options on your list and find them good.

Guys,

What kind of springs are you using on your G4RS 09? I race on a low to med grip asphalt track and I think the stock springs are just way too stiff.

I have my electric TC dialed for the track but not so much luck with my nitro. If anyone here races at a track with similar bite, I'd really appreciate it if you could post your settings.

You can use the Xray springs or Kyosho spring they work really well for low to med bite try Kyosho lightblues or X-rays Darkblues.

Default G4RS 09 takes TQ

Had a clubrace this weekend set new TQ 1 second over an X-Ray NT,it was the G4RS 09 an the Nt battling for the first 10min, i lead the race then my battery started dumping, but i put enough laps to secure a 3rd place podium. Will post setup later.

What comes to mind of what you need to carry is: spurs, pinions, belts, one way hubs, pulley sets, clutch shoes & weights, clutch bearings and 2 speed clutches & housings for drive trains. For the body you would need front & rear arms, front & rear uprights, shock towers, turnbuckles (steering & rear) bulkheads, battery packs and radio plate support brackets. Things like bearing kits, chassis plates. pins for the arms, plastic parts etc. will also be needed eventually.

Peter Lee at http://www.rcmanufactory.com/prod.php?cat=Team%20Magic is very reliable.

Kindest regards,
Lars.
