Default Shock Setup

Hi All,
Just wondering if some one could help and let me know if they are having trouble with the shockies leaking and how to get the oil level right. If i get full travel they will not rebound all the way - if i get rebound i do not get full travel - i am using the standard shock bladder.

Thanks Mike

Default Leaking

Are they leaking from the bottom, also are getting the air out .If the shock is leaking from the bottom try bigger o -rings.I had the same problem, i think a few others did too.As far as rebound i fill the shock then i make sure i get the air bubbles out before i put the cap on the shock.Hope this helps .

Default Clutch spring

Well, I´ve finished the assembly of my 09. But I have some doubts...

1) Are you using the green clutch spring? Cause it doesn´t work fine with my 353. It was very slippery... I´ll gonna test the black one.

2) The rear body mount was very high for my body (Stratus 3.1). I had to remove de body mount and install just a rubber ring... Is that happen with you too?

3) My Novarossi header is very close to the side belt. I had to remove some material from it and the belt still "touches" the header. What do you do in that case...?

ps.: Sorry for my bad English...

Default Hope this helps

1)For your clutch,i recommend the TeamOrion spring,or you can use 1/8 clutch spring also.Kyosho,Serpent,Mugen will work fine.I think the is green i way to stiff.
2)For your body i think alot guys are doing the same with the O-rings.

3)For you header i would shave alittle more off, adjust the side belt tensioner alittle more that should help with the clearence. If we can help you with anymore ?s. Feel free we are all here to help.Best of luck with your new ride.My name is Bobby Watson

Hi Bob,
Yeah they do leak from the bottom, i use a vacumn pump to remove the air.
Do you worry about obtaining full travel or rebound. I normaly fill fill so the oil come to the outside of the shock body, then scre the cap on and if i let oil out to get full travel they do not rebound all the way out.

I am using the green clutch spring and Teflon K14208 and K14207 High grip shoe - i have installed 2 x 3mm set screws in each teflon shoe and works really well.

Thanks Bob

No problem,i think you are over filling you shock bodies ,fill them i until get about 1/3 away from the top. Then before you put the cap on push the shaft up an then pull it back down until you get rid of all the air bubbles, then put the cap on.Then when you push the shaft in it should rebound.Heres a tip if you get a bid at a race ,im using the Evolva shocks with TM shockends with kit springs they work perfect, just tip if you get in a bid.
