Update:

I know I said the stock G4RS 09 oneway bearing had JAPAN stamped on it, but I was confusing it with the bearing on my G4RS 08. It only says FCL-8K and RP6.

My cousin was finally able to separate it from the shaft with a few skillful blows with a hammer. I thought the shaft would have been gouged and oneway caught onto it but no, the shaft was flawless. The damage to the bearing was interesting though. One of the rollers was completely missing and there were metal shavings all over the place. Not to mention the entire bearing was deformed.

I also just received the new oneway bearing (and a 62T spur I stripped) express mailed from Taiwan. Although the dimensions are the same, THIS ONE has JAPAN stamped on it, in addition to FCL-8K and RP6.

Looks to be the same bearing that has been working flawlessly in my G4RS 08. I'll have to test it over a few weekends but I'm not expecting any trouble this time. I'll let you guys know .

I have the same replacement bearing aswell, and it says Japan also. I have tested it today for couple of hours and no problem at all. I have a race tomorrow and i dont think i will have any problems.

Let's just hope it was a bad batch or something. Just because it's got japan on it doesn't mean it wont be good, only time will tell i suppose. I got to see the new G4 do some hot laps at one of my local tracks yesterday and i have to say it looks very, very stable and smooth. It seems as though the "loose rear end" issue has been fixed. I cant wait to see more of it

After reading about this issue in this thread I went right away to check my one-way bearing (car still unassembled), and it was absolutely dry.

So I wonder if the defect is a faulty one-way bearing, or an absolutely dry bearing from the factory...

I am finally putting my car together and added a few drops of oil.

I hope nothing goes wrong with it, but I will let you all know...

well, it seem that the xray NT1 clutch bell is longer as compare to the TM Stock Bell. So i have to adjust the engine location nearer to the center Belt.

For those guys whose had tried the Xray Clutch, Mind to share your opinion.

I am pretty sure you will be OK as long ad you add some lube in it. I've been running my car pretty hardcore and everything is going well for me.

I dont think it is necessary to use that clutch if you set up your clutch the right way, I do have the parts and will try it just to see. But I think Impalabob is running fine with it in his car. you should ask him.
