looks like that the one way is shot, will need replacement... as for how to get it out, get all the shaft out and just hammer it i guese

wow!! what happened?? did you crash prior to this problem? let us know if you can find out.that is pretty interesting.

by the way I have just tested my front differentials and they seem to do the job just fine for such a tiny box.

well if it was between the G4+EVO and the NT1 I would say both are just as good. RS09 is on a different level I think. But I would suggest you test both of the cars because everyone can give you their point of view and tell you one is better than the other, but you will never find out till you try it first hand Good luck.

well,well,we face the same problem yesterday during our club race A main final..one car can only run 6 minutes and the other was in the 10 lap leading position at about 25 min,the problem come.
what we think is the too much free play of the 2 speed shaft force the one way bearing on the first gear housing bearing to jam.
till now, we still cann't remove the first gear..
TM should had done something to this..
we had been driving the first G4 till now..the RS strip 2 nd gear all the time n now the RS 09 strip first gear.

man that is interesting, so do you recommend to shim up the two speed?? I dont want this to happen to me and if it is preventable I may as well do it now

I just came back from a race and this was exactly what happened to me. Car was running fine and the 1st gear just stripped when it was about to shift into second. (Had to happen when I was in third place, on a trophy race to boot! ) Took it apart at home and the oneway bearing/housing is stuck on the shaft HARD .

I'm both glad and concerned to know that I'm not the only one with this problem. Glad because it probably means I wasn't doing anything horribly out of place, concerned because it points to a design flaw of sort and in that case I wouldn't be able to run the car until the problem is solved. Right now I need to order a few things but can't because I'm not even sure if I'll ever be able to press the oneway housing apart from the shaft .

i have seen the new G4RS with stripped first gears at my track.... the pay on the 2 speed is really too much... hope shimming will help...

I had my first race with the car no gear strip. 3 QFr,s 1 10min main,finished third .I always drop a couple drops of one lube after every round ,especially with a new car. The only thing was the car had a on power push.But i have more testing but overall the car is fast.I ran used a motor that wasnt the greatest but got the job done. Also has anyone experience an on power push,may go to 100,000 in the rear diff.

Wow 100k in the rear diff, now that's heavy Wouldn't that contribute to the pushing you already have?

Kool man!!! PrimeAKF11 was going to get top 3 too but his oneway got stuck, he said he emailed TM so hopefully we will find out what the deal is with the oneway. He said he had shim his two speed shaft but I dont think this would contribute to the oneway failing do you? have you shimmed yours?. I have not yet shimmed mine and I am hesitant to do it now since I have been doing fine without it. hopefully will find out soon enough.
