re.the gears .....

1/ Haven't stripped one since we put the car on track AND....

2/ When we do , if we don't have one , we can just borrow and fit an Xray or Shepherd , exactly the same .....what do you use?

I think Ryan will be racing 1/8th , all the others are definites
We'll be upgrading engines for nats, so I'll make my excuse now and tell you we are running old engines, are you nova powered now? Now to find an ins box and few bits and pieces, cant wait to catch up

Can I get tyres when Im down there? (I'd prefere Capricorn carbons, Zero or .5mm offsets.)

Do I need a truer, or can borrow?

Anything else I need to know about Lilydale?

Is Ryan coming to play... Derrick, Adam?

So the KM, Mispelt "Klone Magic"? *chuckles*

Honestly speaking, you should mod and use a Team Magic upper support brace for either side or both of engine mount, I reckon you'd strip gears like a Mugen with torque flex... 7076 Al?

Would someone kindly use a tripod and snap some images of their RS09... bling models preferably. Raymond, your G4 would be a nice one to see. )

Peter J. at http://www.radicalrchobbies.com.au/ is the local supplier of Capricorn
tires. He'll might bring them to the track for you if ask him.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

Just wondering if anyone has put the lola conversion kit on yet or perhaps even tried this car with the gpr wider setup with the 44mm rears and 32mm fronts?

I have been thinking about giving it a go at some stage.

Kinda wish the parts for the lola kit were available separately so i could buy just the bits i wanted like the floating rear body mount parts.

You would nearly think they would have to be available seperate otherwise buying spares for the lola kit could get quite expensive!

Hi Nitorious,

The parts are available separately, I have one here and am looking at the assembly sheet which outlines all the individual part numbers that make up the kit.

As an example, the front bumper bar is P/N K14310-3 and comes as an upper and lower plus body posts. The spool is P/N K14310-2etc.

As a side note the front bumper is narrow enough to work perfectly with a 200mm lola body, just the ticket for outlaw racing!

Good luck

Adrian

Whats happening in Team Magic land in 2011 now that Dario has switched to KM Racing H-K1 for 2011!

I see Team Magic is releasing an electric monster truck.... more and more like HPI all the time!

How long before the G4 is forgotten about like the R40

I agree, the new website is nice but looks like its selling toys rather than model racing cars.
I guess you go where the money is!

I can't wait to see the first pics of the proto car. I hope it will feature some innovations.

I think the new web site needs a lot of work. I like to see exploded views and part number listings for each current model as well as superceeded models, nothing as yet on the new site. Set up sheets, race results and assembly tricks not present either.

The G4 has plenty of life to run, the current itteration is the 'G4D' model 502090 based on the G4JR but with a pull start .15 GO engine. Only problem is the Ahhmm... tyres have very low grip levels!

Hi Bobby,

I actually quite like the current car, its fast, adjustable, light and plenty strong.

What seems to be lacking are some basic things which wouldnt take a lot of work, the first being the supplied manual. Compared to G4S, RS08 and + evo, the current manual is quite poor, lacking set-up tips, a chassis setting change guide at the back, exploded view etc. This cars pending model change I'm guessing will be like the RS08 change to the + evo, the RS08 was down to business with no bling while the + evo had value added bling, this should be welcome by the market I suspect, the KM-1 is the bling king at the moment.

Hi all, just finished putting the Lola Conversion Kit on my car, and it's looking sweet!

I am thinking of putting new shock oils in now and am wondering what would be a good oil weight considering i run on a tight track that is a bit bumpy and varying grip levels (depending on how much methanol gets sprayed on).

/edit

Oh and does anyone have any thoughts on running a solid rear diff? One came with the conversion kit but at the moment i still have the front and rear diffs in.

I was contemplating changing to the front solid diff so didnt want to have solids all the way round.
Any thoughts on that?
