Default foam tires ?

how do you tell how soft or how hard a foam tire is ? i have seen them refered as pink or green i have also seen numbers what does it all mean thank

The number scheme is 35, 37, 38, 39, 40, 42, 45, (these are the most common but there there may be a few more between 39 and 45) with 35 being the softest and 45 being the hardest. I don't remember the whole color chart and they vary a bit from manufactor to manufactor.

Ok...I dug up this old chart but it seems pretty consistant with what I said earlier,except it goes much lower and higher and

COMPOUND DUROMETER HARDNESS WEAR RATE
Silver 25 Soft/Medium Moderate
Platinum 25 Soft/Medium Very good
White 26 Medium/Soft Good
Green 29 Medium Good
Gray 31 Medium Moderate
Pink 34 Medium Moderate
Blue 36 Firm Moderate
Purple 42 Medium Excellent
Red 54 Firm Excellent
2Blue 55 Firm Excellent

Most electric tires are rated with colors. Nitro tires are rated with numbers.

And the numbers can be messured wit a shore meter.

A Durometer is what your looking for. I believe Superioir hobbies still has some.

Yes, but the tire shore may change slightly with an age.
