Default clutch issue?

hey guys, when i accelerate off the mark, my car progresses high rpm and car doesn't move much, and if it does its very little..then I back off the throttle, and accelerate again and it picks up momentum...
Other guys cars seems to off the mark just get the car moving quick...

Now I'm wondering what could be the problem?

Is it clutch issue?
LSN needle too rich?
2-speed?
tuning?

what should I check for?

thanks!

It may be the clutch spring nut is too tight, which won't let the clutch shoe get to the endbell. What are your clutch settings, clutch spring, and what kind of clutch?

I'm running 0.3 clutch gap, endplay i can't remember, but its enough to have the clutchbell free spin without binding, 2d flyweights, clutch spring tension is set to 0.8, stock clutch shoe (grey) and i am using kyosho rrr evo 2 car with stock clutch. thnx

I would start with the clutch and 2 speed, if your clutch is engaging when you give gas than you should check your 2 speed.

I agree with Mcsquish, It does sound like clutch slip due to spring tension being slightly too heavy. Try backing it off and remember as much as every thing else the actual spring needs to warm up and in turn will then allow the clutch to work with some consistency. also the -3 gap may be to little as it may bind when every thing is at operating temp. I did read an article by Josh Cyrul where he suggested to run not smaller than a -45 gap so as not to have the possible binding of the shoe on the clutch bell, This gap being a sedate clutch and not more than a max of -75 for an animal clutch. I personally run -60 on my Sirio power clutches. Hope this helps you.
