Anything I need to know or look out for building the kit?

Just build it. It runs fine out of the box. Just make sure to use Locktite on the screws for the bulkheads and motor mounts.

take ur time with the diffs build them rite the first time and they should be fine. You might want to go to heavier weight diff oils like 100k up front and the stock 80k in the rear

Well, got the front suspension built and the diffs built last night. Really impressed with the kit. Lots changed since the last Serpent i built (Excel...ok, i'm old )

This is making me want a 966 just to build it!

I love building cars and working on the almost more than driving!

You are very correct. I learned this the hard way. They will move if u dont use thread lock

hey guys, just finished building by serpent 733 and we have had some wet weather latley and the screws are starting to get surface rust, it just wipes off. is there anything i can do to stop it from happening, kinda looks bad on a new chassis

That's unfortunate.

I usually put a very, very small dab of oil on the screw head and rub it a bit with a Q-Tip.

I had the same problem I live in Nsw on the central coast , what I did is dip the screw head in after run and a gentle wipe . The shaft seems to rust too . Try not to use metho . The screws are oiled when they are in the kit.
