Serpent 40wt is 1000cst

They are the same. I just did not get oils in my kit and used what I had.

40WT serpent oil is 1000cst. Don't use any other brand of 40 w,wt because it is not the same.

Ok I'm half way thru the build and so far the only thing I've found is the car is a little tight as some has stated. I think it will loosen up after 1 or 2 tanks. Drive line is very free and I did not touch the bearings. The instructions could use some tweaking but I'm sure they will do updates. It's nothing that will stop a build though, after 3 hours of working on it I have all the suspension and drive line done. Just have to do the radio tray and shocks and I'm finished.

btw, polishing the black oxide coating off of the shock pivot ball and similar helps make a slop and bind free assembly. i used hippatch (sp?) semichrome car polish. can be found at most bike (motorcycle shops)

i got mine done last night and i dont have any issues with any thing being tight, smooth as silk.
did have to move the side belt guide lower and the brake pully around. the alum looks great too, cool finish and no marks, some flash but nothing blowing it out didnt fix. i like how the diffs and roll centers are super easy to get too. going to start out trying out DJs set up.

They do not make the spool yet. It is coming.

Also running a diff even at 300 is not the same as running a spool. There are pleanty of companies that make over 100. Xray makes all of them, Mugen, Kyosho, Ofna, etc. It should not be hard to get. I know on the internet it is easy.

Good Luck,

DJ Apolaro
