alu connectors to influence flex, and also the mono-type engine mount
was included.

In the 733 Team Edition the following news is included in addition
to above:
- new SL6 gearbox, all new design with very low inertia
- improved fueltank with new cap and seal
- rubber and alu rear connectors included
- the DLS camber bracket can be used with DLS
and with standard rear set-up.

Anything else???
My TE came with hard-anodised chassis plates, mono disk brake..... Second speed shaft is also different, and the aluminum shaft for the brake is also different from the 1st version.... i think that's it

Hi,

Another question about mi 2nd hand 733. I'm confused about gearing. What is the original pinion/spur setup? According to manual pinions are 17/22, but nothing about spurs.

Can anyone tell me whether they have tried the new SL6 Serpent Transmission, is it much more reliable than the original 733 transmission.

Cheers

I ran 4hrs of practice last week with no issues. The new tranny spools up better and has a much better shift.

They don't fit, the evo ones are larger.

The SL6 uses different 2-speed shoes
What's wrong with the shoes supplied with the SL6?

there is a problem with the 2 speed shoes in the TE the material was too soft.

I have been told will be fixed with the 747. if you can't wait for the 747 shoes. Try drilling out the shoes where the grub screw goes in to adjust the gap.
insert bigger grub screw and try to find one with course thread.

you will also have to scrap the top with a hobby knife where you inserted the new grub screw as it will swell alittle.
This will make the gear box much better.

But you will need new shoes after about 4 ltrs of racing.

The shift point is very sensitive as well some tracks i found its best to be happy where it is and not try and chase the shift point.

Good luck let us know if this fix's your problem.

Default SL6

Hi!

Hm, maybe stupid question.

I'm before 1st drive of 733TE.

It has this new SL6 gear box, but on 2nd gear there is no hole to easy access
for adjust screws ...

I should made hole or not?

Taking off gear is little flustrating

I have never drilled a hole or needed to just remove the c clip i normally have my pit crew do this during the warm up of a race if need be just make sure you have a spare c clip just in case but there should be no need to make holes just for adjustment.

I've ran about 8 hours on my TE and I've had very little trouble with 2 speed,
I did put loctite on all the screws. I changed the buttons head screws to 10mm screws vice the 8 mm. Here are my initials settings

4 3/4 - 5 turns out from fully compressed on both button head screws. The setcrews are about .75mm resessed into the shoe halves. The shoes should have very little rock around the center hub maybe about .1mm
These setting will get you close. My first gear ratio is 17/60.
I hope this helps anyone struggling to get the tranny too shift at all.
Also I had to shave a little of the shoe to get it fit into the Hub without dragging. And yes I did drill a hole in my 2speed hub for easier adjustment of the screws
