I made a comment last night to my wife and could not believe I said it. I was actually enjoying the built. This was the first car I had ever built that I did not need a reamer or any special sandpaper, etc. It was awesome and looks so cool. The car is completely open and has that sexy look to it. I also noticed that the cars weight is really centered. I have not weighted it yet, as I need to do a body. It has not hit the track yet, but I must say, Salven out did himself this time. Later today I will send pics to someone that can post them here.

Some tips I did;
-the links for the rear sway bar, use the smaller plastic end cups and a tie rod style system, not just set screws.
-use one small and one large plastic end cup for the camber links
-I am starting with 2 hole pistons in the front shocks
-side note: I did not clean the bearing and the drive train is great
-mount the battery with the wire inboard towards the tank and closer to the tank side to avoid the side belt area.
-I used the lipo battery, but it will also take a standard one

If you have any questions I will try to answer.

Posting PICS is really easy DJ just like Driving
Well this is how I do it* Limitation is it is in Thumbnail format

1. Upload the PICS to your computer (remember the location eg. My Pictures)
2. At the end of this page, toward the left hand side click on POST REPLY
3. Make your notes in the subject area and the click MANAGE PHOTOS
4. Browse to the location of the pics and click upload

I wouldn't say talent, ALL he the potential to do a great paint job, just time and patience and a large supply of Xacto blades, #11. The part where people fail is planning, they just paint.

Well if you need bodies sure, let me know!!! I need money for my new car

pinions are 17/22
Spurs are 60/54
Internal drive ratio 2.0 (42 on the diff, 21 on the brake pulley)

So the final is 7.05 and 4.90

Serpent offer this pinions and spurs:
16,17,18 and 21,22,23
59,60,61 and 54,55,56

Standard 6.0V flat packs or Li-po packs.

thanks... i am a first time serpent user who was sold by the radical design...

however, i have some comments which i hope serpent can take constructively...

1. the manual is not comprehensive enuff... no basic setup sheet included... some guesswork needed for things like positioning of the front roll center plastic bits... few pages of my manual was "stuck" together, ie two pages were joined together because it was not cut properly....

2. the metal parts have threads which are filled with metal flash from the factory threading process... a little extra work for the builder who has to clean up the threads first before screwing in the screws....

3. the machining of some of the parts are a bit poor... one of my diff internal gears had a center hole a wee bit too small to slot the bevel gear shaft in... i needed a small dremel to free things up... i am paying European brand prices so the china factory ought to be best of the lot and make the parts put together flawlessly....

4. the suspension arms and joints seem very stiff... prolly need some running in to get the parts moving smoothly but if the other brands can get it smooth right from the start, serpent ought to get it close....

anyway... hope it runs fast at the track... that could be the saving grace....
