I would look at the CSO stuff. I believe they offer a light weight shaft for the 733. But I have not seen a light weight SL6 shaft.

These connectors connect the 2 speed shaft mounts to the rear bulkheads. these are used to control flex of the chassis. You have to have the upgraded rear bulkheads to use these connectors. Look at the EVO manual or later.

I've converted mine to 220mm but still not sure if I've made a good decision converting it, I've read a lot of your post lil-bump have you put your TE together yet, looking for some input on the sl6 gearbox, I'm thinking about upgrading but hesitant the old 2 speed is working for me so I'm not sure if a upgrade is needed, i have the sl8 on my 1/8th but I'm new to that class and still not tested it because i don't have a engine yet.

Im running my 733 @ 220mm with no dls and a one way upfront ( one way is needed for brca regs ) I can't get the setup dialled at my local track like I had it at 200mm, 220mm is really progressing in the uk, I would love to race it I'm just struggling with the setup.

I'm about 90% done with my 733TE. My season is over here in the US (Winter time) I won't be able test until around May of next year. The Sl6 gearbox with 2nd gear hub,adaptor and spur attached is about 4-5 grams lighter than the original version. I'm not sure how much weight is lost in the 1st gear assembly. I will weigh that portion when I get off work.

Well 220mm rules state minimum weight 1800grams, I'm at 1817grams on rims with lightweight life battery, titanium screws across the top deck, savox 1251mg servos, and a p908 0.8mm, so upgrading to sl6 will be an advantage, does anyone no how much a xceed diff weighs compared to the standard ? do the composite diffs last as long ?

Thanks.

Well I finished the build of My 733TE. The build went very smooth. The suspension parts are very tight with no binding. Some of the bearings need to be broken-in they show signs of drag. Unfortunetaly the kit was missing the two flange bearings that go on the top and bottom of the brake lever. Luckly I had a pair of these bearings in my tool box.
The Sl6 gearbox complete is about 5.8 grams lighter than the original gearbox, This is for the first and second gears mounted on the hubs with shoe and adaptor.
What surprised me is with the kit fully built in race ready form, The kit weighed in at 1709 grams. This is with a 800mah lipo battery, tires cut at 59.5 and 57.5 and a p37 lightweight body engine and pipe.
The next step is to go over the car with a close eye and then put my setup on the car.

Considering picking up a 733TE after giving my s411 to my son to drift with and realizing electric rc is not for me, is the DLS for real or just a gimmick? does it really have a significant affect on the cars handling and drive-ability?

Also, i see bump is missing a part or two from the kit, is that common with this kit?

You will always have the issue of missing parts with all kits. The DLS works;
The DLS will take away some steering since it makes the rear of the car so planted some people love it, some hate it. My track has bumpy sections which I think would upset the car. But I will try it eventually; It's just another tuning aid.

DLS is not a gimmick by any means. It makes the car more stable so you can drive it harder. Car stays flat thru corners. Worth trying if you get the car.
