Has anyone tried lightening light transmission parts like CSO lightened main shaft, Xceed light diff kit etc
Even the light brake disc and pulley which rotate on the main shaft.
It would make sense that weight removed from the drivetrain would make a bigger difference to performance then from the chassis, but is this really the case?
Also, little bit concerned that by fitting too many lightened parts I'll come up underweight
Help anyone?

If its too light, just add weight.

Its better to remove weight from the drive train and add to the chassis

Think its pretty hard to be under weight with a 733 you should be safe

Thanks for the input guys!!

Gonna start putting a list together of all the light parts I can get for the tranny and see how that goes

Be interesting to see how much weight can be saved from the drivetrain and how much difference it makes

Also might make the rear a bit lighter, as with solid front axle, it's a bit rear heavy

Not sure if it was done by design ,but the 733 main chassis plate is about 25-30 grams heavier than other brands. Not sure if this is a bad thing because this puts the weight extremely low. I've got an aftermarket chassis on mine and ready to race weight can be as low as 1730 grams depending on which engine and pipe I use. Currently with my Nova 3sct and 2630 pipe I'm @ 1745 grams. Body is a P37 "lightweight"

I forgot to mention I have a 800 mah lipo that only weighs 42 grams. My aftermarket chassis weighs about 10 grams lighter than stock. I have not had a chance to see how it runs.It won't stop raining on the weekends.

Default 733 Evo DLS

Hoping someone can help me with this one..... regarding the carbon rear camber plate supplied with the 733 Evo, for the DLS it says to just use the lowest holes on the original camber plate. This seems strange as I have been running an older 733 and when I added the DLS it came with a proper rear camber plate designed for the DLS. When I compare both plates it is a totally different pivot point.......Is this correct or should I just get the proper plate for the DLS??

I think you need to learn how to set up the car first

the pivot point is quite important, and will change how the whole system works. so to say learn to setup the car, is an understatement.

Team Chump, send me a PM with your Email, and i can forward you a starting setup and see how that goes. Cheers, Patto.

Patto, thanks mate but i think you may have gotten the wrong impression! RC Carnage and i race against each other at our club and he's just putting s**t on me...... I have a setup i'm happy with.
I was just making the point that the Evo doesn't come with the correct camber plate for the DLS, (even though the DLS comes in the kit) only the standard one and it says to use the bottom set of holes when using the DLS. And yeah the pivot point is very different when comparing to my older 733 with DLS.......wondering why Serpent have done this??
