any1, i had a look on the serpent website and the drive calculator only tells you the final drive ratio. the perfect rollout for the track i run at is

1st gear: roll out 24.7
2nd gear: roll out 38.6

if anyone could guide me in the right direction

i know the mugen gear for this is

1st: 17T - 59T
2nd: 23T - 52T

or will this ratio work on the serpent

thanks

Mitch

mate if you have your FDR rollout is very easy to work out. all you do is multiply the diameter of the tyre by pi (3.14) which will give you the circumference of the tyre, then divide your FDR by the circumference and you will have your cars rollout.

You don't use a sway bar on the DLS!

i believe one or 2 cars from Pics from the Worlds, were indeed still using a rear sway bar with the DLS system. they said it had too much grip, so maybe the swaybar still adds a tuning tool for rear grip.

if installing the long rods you can get them more than 68mm something between 70~72mm when full extended. the length of the body
including the plastic ball joint at top is 39.2mm

Scott, how difficult is it to get the DLS system adjusted correctly and how hard is it to keep it that way?
