The picture in post 2348 is as it would look in the car from the top.

Hi guys,
today i am so upset about the quality of the 733. From the start, i had to replace some parts of the car with some olé coming from my old 720. All the bearings had to be replace after the first run!

The pivot bowl in the shock absorber ad to be replace with the one from the 720 cause impossible to fix it.

The alu pivot bowl in thé arm break today with no reson????!

And a lot of bad things but i don't know all the english names or don't know if it's correct but thé big pine nut on the two speed shaft, i had to replace it six time!

I think i Will put all the car in the garbage and move to another brand or stop rc!

Serpent, it's just a shame, no other word to describe that!

Really sorry to hear you are having those problems. I've had mine for about a year now and the only problem I had was the original fuel tank. It's a great car but sorry for your experience.

Was it breakage from crashing or did it just break for no reason? Also on the two speed, did you have it mounted correctly? Your problem with that could be that you are doing it wrong. I never had any problems with my two speed shaft. As for bearings, did you lube them before running it? If you didn't then that is why they burn up. Bearing replacement is common for RC nitro cars, its all part of maintenance.

The only reason to give up on a car is:
  1. It doesn't handle no matter what you do to it.
  2. It is difficult to fix/ work on.
  3. It has no parts support.

The 733 does not have any of those above problems. However if it is not as durable as you "expect" it be, then you should be shopping for a tank and not a race car.

hey guys just started the engine in my 733 and had a bit of a put around, could someone tell me the fix for the leaking diffs.

other than that i think the car is superb, although a little rust is starting to happen on the screws and 2speed shaft but caught it in time to put some oil on them.

thanks guys

Mitch

I read about some issuse around leaking diff and some have damage the diff housing when they thighten the srews. So the first time i assamble the diffs i were very soft when i thighten the srews. My diffs were leaking a litle. A litle i mean i could see some oil after some days when the car was standing on the table. I thighten then the screws a litle more and they where good. After this i have had no issue. When i change oil in the diff ill be wery carefull to thighten the screws on cross and do it a litle at the time as long as i whipe it clean for ecceding oil so i can se that to o-ring is staying on its place. the screws has to be thighten firm but of course not to much. Thighten them a litle at the time on cross and you can feel when they are thighten enough. Never had a leaking diff sinse.

Hello Mitch,

Make sure to fill up diff like the picture in the manual and also to use the big o-ring. Double check that you use the correct length of screws. You can also put some sealant on the o-ring.
