What color belt are you referring to? I only use the blacks and I use the thicker black for the rear. The main reason the belt gets loose is if the rear of the chassis is starting to bend. I recommend using the rear stiffener and the chassis will not bend, even if you happen to hit the rear of the car. If you feel the stiffener makes the car too stiff, you can always cut it down the middle and make the car flex like it does without the brace.

I prefer the black one. This is the one I use. The orange one above is good also, but the black is low friction and last a good amount.

The Orange Belt last longer but the Black is less friction.
