I think the previous parts were made of composite of carbon filled polystyrene and polypropylene. Most likely if they were to make it softer they would up the polypropylene content.

The new arms have nylon in the mix as opposed to carbon. Hard nylon is pretty tough if anyone remembers the days of the RC10 which had nylon parts. I think the new material is probably better and far more durable kind of like the RPM suspension arms for the monster trucks and offroad cars.

Default over steer

my 733 seem to like harder tires in the front , if i run softer or same shore as rear tires i have uncontrollable over steer getting out of any corner ( i have tried many clutch setting and setup ), high or slow speed . has any one experienced the same ?
Cheers
Alex

i found my steering links where hitting the bulkheads near full lock. once i changed some things, to give some clearance, the rear end settled down a fair bit. i also then used the 1.7 clutch spring from the 720 08, and raised the rear roll centre a little (more angled rear top arm) and it was close to where i want it.

I think your experience is opposite to most others. I think the 733 needs one step softer fronts. Or max same shore as rear.
One thing apart from setup might be to check belt tension. If you go too lose you might lose part of the front drive under hard acceleration. This leads to massive on throttle oversteer.

Wow, I have never thought about it before. You are talking about front and side belt, right?

Yes. A rather crude way of checking is holding the front wheels and trying to turn the rears. This should take considerable force. If they can be easiliy made to skip you should increase tension.

I did have all the belt tension to the max lose setting . hummm definitely a very good point to check out . but i am hoping its not the case had about 30 sets of tire with softer front tires combo that i just got ride of. What do u mean by losing a part of the front drive ?
thanking you
