Good choice.

Parts are cheap. Built like a tank and yet...a very light car.

If you really can't wait for tower to bring it in, you might wan to check the honk kong hobbyshops.

TitaniumR, well said. Spoken like a true racer....

Your #1 consideration when getting an 8th scale on-road is availablity of parts (this goes for any racing rc car).

All 8th scale cars are fast (even with a cheap engine). All of them have excellent set up features (Serpent, Mugen, Picco, SMP, HPI, Kyosho, etc..).

If you are new to 8th scale you will hit something and break something. If you break something and can't get parts for it what's the point??

Pick a car that your local hobby shop can support.

No, We are not talking about the works kit. Rumor has it they are making a newer style rear end to the MRX-3

I'm not so sure of the NEW CAR issue.
I haven't Caught wind of this yet. Not to say it's not coming.

Injection,
I know of a few Vector nts That are still running at the local Races. They are Just as fast & easy to work on as the 950.

Vector NT is an excellent car. Very easy to tune and get parts for. Also, you can find a used one for very little money. They are just as competitive as any car on the grid.

I have a few older Picco integras I learned the ropes with...its a fairly simple car thats still pretty competitive.

there are still some minor productions errors innit, if you look further then that, it's a good car...fast, great handling, etc.

but i never saw a speed in the high rankings yet
