Serpent tries new things on their car and everyone says there they go changing their car again. No it just the next evolution of their car to stay ahead of the curve of competition. Don't get mad cause MS isn't afraid to do something new to the platform.

They never will. They have the notion of Serpent from 10 years ago when they did change cars more often, but thats not the case anymore.

Besides, they didnt change the car, this is just an add-on, no need to buy a whole new car.

That's the problem. There was a stretch there where it seemed like Serpent had a new car every month (an exaggeration I know). I mean they even came out with two different 1/8th scales AT THE SAME TIME. All that craziness left a bad taste in many peoples mind. Sure things are a lot better now but it will take a few more years to live down that legacy among the non-faithful.

That's a little bit funny coming from someone who races an Xray. They too are great cars (same as Serpent) but they release a new version every year. Just because a new updated version that is an evolution is released doesn't mean that everyone has to sell the old car.

Did people miss the part on Serpent's website where it said that they were giving this update out for free at the Worlds for people running the 733. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Aren't we the problem to that? Face it, We as drivers like to buy a new car every year so you can start a fresh racing season with a fresh car. And if you buy a new car you want to have a new design because you think it will be better than the old one.

Ofcourse the more drivers drive it the more numbers reaching the higher finales can be mentioned, they call it marketing while we do call it service.

I am trying to understand what all of this has to do with Worlds ?

But anyhow can someone tell me what is the difference if Xray comes out with 07-08-09 and Serpent comes out with 720, 07,08,09 because they both gave upgrade parts which are options as part of each version. Or is it different because of the name/brand in-front of the version numbers.

Another question on the topic, is Redrc still covering the event, their site says they will start Monday ??

I'm also disappointed, but there must be a reason. Is there anyone closer to the event who could enlighten this thread with an explanation?

Kindest regards,
Lars.

I'm sure it's so people don't have to be at the track the whole day if they don't want to be. Sucks for us watching but I'm sure if I was there I wouldn't mind.
