2010 IFMAR Worlds
Practice is well underway with day 3 of organized practice. There are 25 countries and 150 racers entered. Some racers to watch are listed here. I was not able to find full Details on the X-Ray Challenge race, however.

Ralph Burch from the US, winner and TQ of the X-Ray Challenge at Mikes, Second at the Pre Worlds
Paulo Mortgani, USA, Winner of the Pre Worlds
Chris Tossolini, from the USA, TQ on the Pre Worlds at Mikes
Daniel Delasi, from Italy, qualified 3rd and finished 3rd at the PreWorlds at Mikes
Giles Grosskamp, Holland, qualified and finished 5th in the Pre Worlds
Mark Green from the UK, won a pre preworlds (Gulf Coast Grand Prix) Nitro race at Mikes
Paul Lemieux, USA
Marc Rheinhard, Germany
Leino Teemu, Finland
Josh Cyrul, led many laps toward the end of the Pre Worlds

I will take another look after some qualifying is done.

Some action during group four practice.

Feel free to send a Private message (PM) to correct any details. Short video link to come.

This is how to take the hairpin. go tight and then just kiss the flapper on the way out.

2010 Worlds Practice Video
It is a .avi file, two white cars (probably teamates, at about 2:30 PM on Saturday) are duking it out for a couple of laps, finally there is a pass or allowed pass on the sweeper. The camera is at the sweeper end of the track behind glass. I will shoot another from a tripod later.

Corrections:

Winner of the Pre-Worlds last March is Paolo Morganti not Mark Green!

Mark green won another race last year at Mikes but not the Pre-Worlds!

Please send a PM with corrections. Mark green won a pre Pre worlds for lack of better memory on the actual race name probaly the Gulf Coast Grand Prix at Mikes. It was widely attended so he is a racer to watch. I was there at practice for a couple of hours. I did not hear any good times but there may indeed be some. I will ask Jeremy tomorrow.

Here is a repost of that short practice video clip. 55 seconds, 45Mb.

don't know how it looks trackside at Porter, but here in Humble we just had a Thunder-/Rainstorm with lots of wind and rain coming down. If it rained at the track too, grip level should be gone for tomorrow?!

Then name the title of the race correctly then!

It looks more like a Typo when it was stated Pre Preworlds.

What chassis does Marc Rheinhard run ?

It'd be interesting to see how the 2 time electric TC champs competing in the nitro WC.

The LiveRC crew arrived late this afternoon after a long, long drive. As of 2am, everything is setup and ready to go, so the broadcast will be going all day on Sunday.

Clear sky at the track. The crew is drying out the surface from last nights storm.
