This is what ive been running at my local track its a good body very stong and its good because it has a adjustable rear wing. Just like the 1/8scale cars.

But some clubs say your not allowed to run them i dont now why.

We got tired of the good but boring Stratus 1.0 - ran a Protoform Volvo S60 last year.
I reckon the Volvo is just as good/neutral as the Stratus - so we got another one.

We also bought a Protoform Alpha 2.1 to try out - everyone seems to like them.

I say the new mazda6 will be my choice, it has similar front as the stratus2.1 but is shorter which makes it more suitable for small medium size track, also CEFX touring car body as well.

Yes, I saw the Mazda but it's not legal yet, is it?
We got the Alpha 2.1 to use on a shorter track, hoping to play with the extra down force it's supposed to have. I reckon that Alpha might be a bugger to re-fuel, though. In fact the Evo is generally more difficult than with the old Low CG tank.

Gav, low CG tank?? where from??
Where is the extra down force you need it??? I've a setup that I use on a small track is very reasonable, but definitely not for Lilydale way to much steering for it.

No, no . . I was referring to the Low CG tank in the old "R".

I was looking to experiment with the Alpha's extra downforce at Dandenong. The old Alpha 156 was supposed to have good steering and I figure with that monster wing on the 2.1, it might have more all round - dunno.

Hey guys what would be the best choice of shell for a med-large sized track. I have used the Chrysler 300M and that seemed to a bit tail end happy at times (unpredictable) and I have also tried the Stratus 2.1 a lot better at mid corner speed but had too much understeer at fast corners.

I was thinkin the new Protoform Mazda 6 but u guy reckon that its suitable for smaller tracks.

after trying different protoform bodies such as stratus 2.1, alfa 2.1, honda accord, i went back to the protoform original stratus.

Keep to the stratus. I dunno why people have to keep changing body shells in the TC class. The lola bodies havent changed in about 8 years!

I agree with Manticore, I have tried like 15 shells in like 8 months and I have decided to stick with either the Stratus 1.0 or 156 2.1, I find both are about the same and got great handling characteristic.
