I guess I too need to try different bodies,

I assume that GT bodies should handle much much better?

I agree. I'm using volvo s60 and i'm happy with it. It has a similiar handling like stratus.

Anybody tried nissan altima body?

I think most people will agree that the Stratus 1.0 is probably the best all around neutral body to have whenever or wherever the track may be.

But other bodies like the Alfa, Volvo, 300m etc can and will work better on certain tracks in certain conditions.

Many may laugh but if your club allows it the HPI Suzuki Escudo body is actually a great body on a 200mm TC! Try it before you laugh.

Take a look at these pics. The first is the a-main nitro mod at the hpi worlds, notice 6 of the 10 cars have the escudo. The second one was my car.

Well, YEAH! Look at that wing hangin' off the back.

I've always wanted to try Parma's 200mm Oval Outlaw... the problem I think with the Lola bodies on the 200mm cars was the lack of the rear wing mount, ala an Impact. It lets the body push downforce onto the rear suspension rather than the chassis.

The Protoform Mazda 6 is definitly a cool looking body if you like the Losi Alfa. After the grill it's all Losi Alfa.

Those are some cool pictures.

anyway, I bought a Volvo S60 Protoform, I will put it together x-mas day and test it friday. It seems pretty low profile just like the stratus so it should work. I will test it out friday on the track. I will use this body for my 710 if it performs.

then I also want to try the MG and Vauxhall Vectra.

Does anyone have experience with after market wings? Why would I need to upgrade my wing? is it really worth it? - Protoform for instance makes wing upgrades

On big flowing tracks I prefer the Protoform Stratus 1.0 or Vauxhall Vectra but for tight twisty tracks I have found that the Thunder Tiger Stratus is a far better shell.

I've been running the Proto Strati, and now I'm running the Alfa 2.1, I like it as well as the Stratus 2.1... I have a BMW M3 GTr ordered by Proto. Will advise.

ROAR is allowing 2 door TC bodies next year....
