Alot of the guys racing are still using the Vector. It's a great car and easy to work on. The Vteq is nice but is alot harder to set-up correctly. Oh, to awnser your ? Yes

If you like that particular layout (not the newer designs), check out the proceed. Its still in production and delta provides parts for it.

I live in Southern California and now, there is only one place i know i can go to get Vector parts. There used to be at least 2 or more shops that carry parts. And to make things worse, from what i heard a while ago, the US Serpent distributor in Florida closed down. So now every thing has to be ordered directly from Germany. Making it harder for hobbyshops to carry parts.

I may be wrong but, Serpent USA isn't closed down. Were did you hear that?

vthondabio, I meant YES you CAN still get parts. mytsn.com has a full listing of parts for the Vector. Like I said, there's alot of guys running the Vector, OVER the Vteq by choice!!

so the fact that it is a 99 model vector won't make a difference as to parts availability?

I think it was about a year ago. A local hobby shop owner told me about it.

Maui... Serpent, closes for "Holiday" and they are gone for a week or two at a time. I can assure you they are still in business, and are not going anywhere. Like what was said before in this thread. You can still get parts for the Vector. mdiracing stocks them if you still need em
