|

no other reply, people must've forgotten about these? |
let me know if u are selling the P4..
|
I raced a P4 and later P2's for years. My P4 was actually one of the first kits that Delta put together and arrived without instructions. I guess Delta figured if I could build it, anyone could.
Thet were very strong cars and inexpensive to repair. I think I still have pictures of Art Carbonell's prototype that he raced in a demo class at the Ranch one year. |
There's a "delta mania" site that may help identify them: Go to the 1/8th gp page and check out how well they are restored (sorry in Japanese):

Boy I can identify with this.......My P2 was early production and came with no instructions too. I had never built, tuned, driven or race an 1/8 scale race car of any kind in my life and it took me about a week and a half of evenings to figure out how to put the thing together. And another three races or so to get it together right. But I had the 1/8 onroad fever bad and some missing instructions weren't going to keep me from it.
Jim Cook made the Cook Cobra which was based on the P4 and it was a work of art. Lee |
A set of printed instructions may be worth more than the car now days!!:lol:

Found a Delta Super-J on ebay:

I actually still have a couple of sets of printed instructions now for the P4
Super J's??? Holy smokes, I have 2 brand new ones in the garage. Hmmmmmmmmmm! I still have catalogues and mechanical drawings for the Super J and eagles that were drawn by the late Bill Campbell many years ago. I had talked to someone in Italy about the J's, but then lost my job and have a little busy lately. |

I just found this thread. I have 2 cook cobra that I’m cleaning up and three manuals. One says on the heading “Cook Racing products” “RC Car Specialist” Wholesale-Retail-Manufacturers ASSEMBLING THE COOK COBRA OR “HOW TO WIN WITH THE CROBRA” The other Says on the front. Assembly Instructions, text for Delta P4 RROTOTYPE 26 DECEMBER 85 The other Two Manuals are parts list and Pitchers with part numbers. Not sure if the manuals are worth anything? I know one of the cars went for almost three grand a while back. I think I’ll put the cars on eBay, just thought id stop by and tell ye, I FOUND A MANUAL FOR YA! Lol Have a good one JVstart... Mike |
Any chance you still have the Delta P4 instructions? Would like either to buy or get a scan or copy. Thanks for any help.
