Default All known 1/8th OnRoad Rubber Tires

I am curious who all makes 1/8th OnRoad Rubber Tires?

Ipanema
Losi
Ofna
Kronos
TwisterTires

Anyone else?
Please list cost, where to buy and any additional info.

I am looking for a rubber tire to run on a very smooth asphalt track.
VHT compound applied on raceday.
What shore? I think 45 is what I need.

Midwest heat in the summer upwards of 90 degrees.
5 minute heats with 30 minute A and 15 minute B.

The losi dlm 17758 or 7758 unmounted tire is a GRP "E" compound which is a GRP M01 rain tire, GRP makes 4 harder compounds the A-D
Losi also has the 17768 which is GRP M01, A compound I believe.
17758's are 27.99 7758(unmounted) 21.99 the 17768's are a couple bucks higher, available anywhere that sells horizon hobby products
Medial Pro makes rubber tires in 5 compounds. Have to get them out of a European hobby shop as they have no US distrib.
The losi 17768's would prob do you better on a vht'd asphalt track as the 17758's are very very soft, I have overheated them on a dirt track so I wouldnt recommend them for asphalt.
Kyosho makes 3 compounds of their Vslicks. Tower hobbies, I think 19$ a pair for the rubber only
Ipanema also makes several compounds of rubber tires as well. You can buy them direct off the website
Ofna has the 86505 tire, and a belted version of that, then they have rubber slicks, and the "street" tires in a medium compound which I have heard is pretty soft as well and it has a very tall sidewall. The mounted ofna 86505's are between 26 and 30 a pair depending on where you buy, the belted version is higher and you can get them just about anywhere.

Kronos tyres $25.41 per pair (tires to you and me) @ FG Supply (FGSupply.com)

Several compounds. Worked well on a VHT prepped track in Vegas

The rally versions use a 10, 20 and 30 shore.

The race version has a soft, med-soft, med-hard... I think a hard version too.

The FG Supply site lists them all under rally tires.

Ipanema tires are good

I just got into this on-road stuff a couple weeks ago and the Ipanema tires were mentioned to me...I tried them, and now I'm staying with them.

They respond well to 'saucing' if your track allows it.

I have a question. Why the hell are all the Ipanema tires mounted on white wheels?
Doesnt make sense. I guess i can spray paint the rims black or just dont ever clean them and let them turn black.

If you want your Ipanema Sintec tires with black rims it is very easy, just pre-order them from your Ipanema Dealer and wait for them to arrive.
