Post inferno gt gearing/change suspension set up

I would like to increase the top speed of my inferno gt and understand that the new inferno gt-2 gears can be installed. What's confusing to me is I've read that along with replacing the 2 spur gears to 40 and 46 tooth,it's necessary to replace 1 pinion gear to 21 teeth.Would'nt I also have to replace the 2nd pinion gear in order for the gears to mesh properly? I also would like to adjust the suspension but the only tool I've been seen so far is from Hudy and is expensive. Any help is much appreciated.

There is more detailed info regarding IGT gearing at...

In regards to the suspension, set-up stations are expensive. The Hudy is expensive but very well made. I think Integy sells one that is a little cheaper. Have you added adjustable turnbuckles? They are a must for making adjustments. I pretty much eyeball mine, making sure I make equal adjustments to both sides.

If your interested, there is a group of us that run IGT's at the Ronkonkoma train station on Sundays. This week, will will try to get together on Saturday. You're more than welcome to come down and run.

No problem, we are usually there on Sunday's after 10am in the southwest corner of the lot, if the weather is good. Just show up and introduce yourself.
