it does look good. but functionwise is not as good as the ugly but trusty foam filter.

The K&N`s are good ,but can cause interferance problems when mounted on some cars. You can also look into a brand called Motorsaver. They`re well made and cost about $10 cheaper. If you must have a K&N try www.rcrproducts.com

I agree, use Motorsavers, they are great

I have heard that K&N makes bad filters, even for full scale cars

What are you talking about!!!!!!! K&N air filters are the racers choice for real cars!!!!! The performance gain you get form swaping a stock air filter to a perfomance K&N is amazing. I wish that i could get that kind of improvement from putting one on my RC car i would!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey man! haha, I would not choose K&N filters for my car. I have heard many people say that to NOT use a filter is cleaner than to use K&N!

I prefer better filters for my cars. Such as Mugen Power, or J's
They are a lot better than K&N, if you have a chance, you might want to try them out

They aint cheap i tell ya, but again, I rather pay than use some bad stuff eh

Motorsaver even makes a dust cover for the filter for added protection(that is what I run MS w/ Dust cover awsome) it really helps with keeping the dirt out of the filter

B- I run a K&N in my Kawasaki 550 Jet Ski and it is the best I have used. No experince w/ them in cars but I hear they are the best around.

Agreed that Motosaver filters are the best. However, if you're running open bodyshell type like the Lola shell on your car, be very careful as the plastic casing / netting can break if the car turns upside down and drags the filter on the track. Lucky for me, I noticed it in time to not drive further when the filter was broken and the sponge element came off.

And how can not using a filter be better than using one! That i don't understand! Now i use the motor saver filters i was just saying that if the performance improves using the K&N then i would use it. That was all i was saying. B was bashing K&N and there airfilters i was just offering my (opinion as a consumer) For real cars only not for RC

Stick with the regular foam units, they are good air flow wise and protection wise as long as you use the correct oil. They are also cheap as $#%$ and can just throw them away rather then cleaning them if you wish.
