There is a good chance that myself and Jilles Groskamp will be running the Pre-Production 7xx at the Turkey race in June. There will be no time for me to test, as they will bring the car to the event and give to me there. Hopefully this is able to happen. I will keep you posted.

Press release: Scoop Serpent 7XX

Introduction date of new Serpent 200mm is getting closer ….

Michael Salven has been developing the new 1/10 car over the past months. The basic concept of the Impulse / 705 / 710 / 720 has been an excellent platform and brought Serpent lots of success, many victories and many Serpent racers.

Its time for the next stage. More than “just” evolution this time. …..

Focus as always on sheer performance, as you are used to from Serpent, as racing company pur sang. Many bigger and smaller innovations by Salven are packed in this high-tech racing chassis.
Still with more focus than ever on user-friendly design, ease of assembly, maintenance and set-up, and a wider sweet spot. All that combined with further improved quality to face high-end racing !

Serpent has been testing the new 200mm gas-car Serpent 7XX on 2 tracks by expert and regular drivers. Test-results are very good and only small modifications are needed to make it perfect. The Serpent 7XX is a completely new concept and uses only the 2-speed, Centax clutch and RCC shocks from the previous model.

Over the next few weeks we will show more info and pictures. The 7XX will undergo more rigorous and intensive testing in various parts of the world, by our top-drivers like Green, Morganti, Mazzeo, Salven, DJ, Sahashi, Groskamp, but also by average drivers, as their feedback is just as important !

We can hardly wait to introduce the new car to you ….. in less then 2 months time.

After the introduction of the already highly successful Serpent 966, this will be the next one worth waiting for. More info to follow.

Serpent, the racing experience

Good to see that it looks like the seadan will use the flat bigger receiver packs as opposed to the aaa packs. And why the NT1 rollbar noooo lol I guess the angle helps on the balance when you have the car in hand. I'm sure the car will be very good Salven doesn't make junk. Good luck with the car and if serpentamerica needs another regular driver to test pm me.
