The dm-1 is a better car the igt2 is a fragile car trust me the igt cars have two speed problem with stripping gears and the need to buy to many aftermarket parts the dm-1 is fully tunable out the box

I have had both IGT and IGT2. In both cars 2nd gears would go bad and the engines went bad.(IGT AND IGT2 motors have bad motor bearings).I just got the OFNA DM1 SPEC and this car is great. It is very fast and strong. Also it has more set up to choose from. Go with the DM1 spec for the better car and money.

Ok thanks! I will look into the DM1 Spec....What about the Pro kit? I think our rules will be you can use any big block engine under $200.00.Or should I just get the DM1 Spec? Thoughts? Whats the main diff between the Spec and Pro kit?

I went with the pro kit ,just choose motor and pipe and electrics. I went with a picco motor and a ofna 086 pipe and hearder. Runs great.

The spec 1/8 scale is the most popular right now. It turns better because of the shorter wheel base and it is alot lighter. You should try and make it to the timezone race in july. I think they will run this class if enough people show. Some of us from down here in Cali are headed that way
