If you click on the link to the serpent asia challenge (top of page) you will get a link to the gallery.

Works like this in all MyTSN articles. Most of them are linked to a overall product or event page.

Yes, Mr. Suruth (I think they pronounced his name as Surat) swept both 1/8th scale and the 1/10th scale ! The Thais are above a class of their own !

His setup is a little sketchy... He mentioned that he used 40 shore tires all around, all stock setting except that the springs were all red all around. Yes, the rear diff was set very hard. Almost solid. I think I saw that the caster used was a lot. Only the 1 mm spacer behind the upper from arm. His setup is totally different from Michael's setup. But of course with the limited track time Michael got, Suruth's car was way faster not to mention 5 port versus 3 port engine ! Not to mention that Mr. Suruth himself partly owns the track !

And yes, I got to know that his car was like 60 grams lighter than the already light stock car or so with the titanium screws mounted !

The car was OK. It is just the man behind the Tx and the lack of experience that made for not so pleasant results !

Car felt a little understeer when I put it on the track the first day of practise. Using 40 shore tires all around while others who had more track time already started using 37 shore. Tire wear was excellent on that excellent track. Changed some settings on the car to get rid of the understeer and the car felt very fast. Of course, in those runs, I got to ancious and broke a few parts here and there. Lost a dogbone and a front one way drive cup !

Tried 37 shore, felt about the same. Perhaps better. Went back to the hotel, changed a few things here and there and the next day for the heats, the car felt understeer again. Changed a few more things for the next heats and it was downhill from then on with engine problems ! So that's my short sad story...
